Just yesterday I won one of the biggest tournaments of my life on Kissimmee Chain. It was a battle with me coming in with only 6 ounces more than the runner up. I worked so hard for this, now let me tell you all about it.
Today was one of the best days I have had on the water. I caught the biggest fish of my life along with some other really nice fish. Continue on to see what I'm talking about.
World finals in Arkansas was like nothing else. There were over 150 anglers competeing for school scholarships.
Fishing a lake that is an underwater city is pretty awesome! Not only did I get to fish on Toledo Bend but I got to do it with one of the Legends in Bass fishing Harold Allen! It was a great experience and I have learned so much from it!
I will be leaving sunday to fish in Texas with one of the best guys there is! I am so excited and cant wait to go out west and catch some big ol' bass. This will be the first time I have ever been out west and also fished out west.
Douglas Lake was a great experience and taught me alot of different ways to fish. I got to fish with alot of great guys and learn alot of stuff! I also caught my first smallmouth!!
As the competitors continue to fight it out during the final stop of the Bassmaster Southern Open, the youngest angler in the field confirms that there are some big ones to be found in Lake Douglass. With his event over in the co-angler division, Dustin Bozeman was back on the water doing what he does best: catching big bass. Stay tuned for Dustin's post-tournament wrap up.
Here are a few pictures from day 1 on Douglas Lake. I finished with my 3 fish limit for 3-11. However, there were a lot of fish casualties due to the hot weather including my fish which knocked my weight down from penalties. I had a great time and Frank Scalish was a lot of fun to fish with. It was a long day and the water was a lot deeper than I'm used to, but it's always fun testing new strategies and fishing in new water.
As the field gathers in East Tennessee for the final stop of the Bassmaster Southern Open, hopes are as high as the water in Lake Douglass. Recent rains have brought the water up and have jump-started the post-spawn pattern into an offshore frenzy.
